If you really want to increase your Google Adsense Revenue then you have to keep doing experiments with your ad placement including ad sizes. But it is really difficult for beginners to do experiments because they are in learning stage and it may take much time for them to learn about it. Below is few simple tweaks which you can do in no time to increase your Google Adsense earning from the day 1. I have already applied it on this blog and Revenue is increasing day by day. That is the main reason I want to share it with you all so that you can also increase your Google Adsense Revenue.

Change Adsense Unit Colors to Increase Your Revenue

Yes, to increase Google adsense revenue, you have to change the color of your adsense ads. You will find many people suggesting about default Google adsense color i.e. Blue & Green format. But it doesn’t work with every blog. It is better to keep the colors of ad unit depending on your theme background & other color format. If you are using light color theme for your blog, then I will suggest you to use the format shown in the following screenshot. You can check our adsense ad format to understand more.

Change Hyperlink Color of Your Blog

This is one of the real trick that can increase Google Adsense Revenue for your blog, double or even more. Now, you have to replace the color of hyperlink in your blog to the same color which you are using for your adsense ad title. Because visitors generally navigate through same colored link to read more. You can check our blog’s link color with adsense unit. Both will look same and hence visitors will treat adsense ads as a link of your website and can visit those ads.

Don’t Underline Hyperlinks in Your Blog

Visitors have tendency to visit underlined links in a webpage to read more article. Since Google adsense ads comes with underlined format, so don’t use underline property of hyperlinks in your blog. You can easily change this property in CSS file, if you are using wordpress theme. Now, only Google ads with have underline property and hence you will receive more clicks on your Google adsense ads.

Visited Link Color Can Decrease Google Adsense Revenue

If you are using different color property for visited hyperlink and default hyperlinks then it will really look odd on your webpage. Visitors will see different type of colors on visited and non-visited links which may distract your visitors and hence you will not receive better clicks on your adsense ads. Try to use same color property for both type of links.

Place Adsense Ads Just Below the Title of the Post

Since Google adsense ad will analyze the content of your blog before showing relevant ads, place your adsense unit just below title of your post. It will help adsense ads to show relevant ads for your webpage and hence your cost per click may increase.

Above tips are based on my personal experience with increasing by Google adsense Revenue. I will highly recommend you to do these changes in your blog for a week and I am sure your Google adsense Revenue for that week will be higher compared to other weeks.

Social CRM

Perhaps the biggest advantage of social media is its ability to connect directly with customers. Social customer research management, or CRM, refers to a business’ ability to interact with customers using social media. Social CRM is a must for sales professionals. B2B Research

If your sales career focuses on business-to-business sales, you want to be knowledgeable about the business to which you are selling. With many businesses managing social media pages, you can research your clients in just one click. Regular visits to your clients’ social media pages can give you a wealth of knowledge about the business. What are their customers saying? What needs does the business have? How can your business help theirs? Collecting such information through social media will improve your sales pitch. Your clients will be impressed by your knowledge, and that can translate into increased B2B sales.

Competitor Analysis

Just like your business has social media pages, so do your competitors. Some investigative social media searching can help you assess your competition and better understand the market. Find out what customers are saying on your competitor’s social media pages. Are there complaints or customer service issues? You can use this information to your advantage by highlighting some of the problems with the competition in your sales pitch. The more you know about your competition, the better you will be able to convince your customers that your product or service is better. Social media research can give you this helpful insight.

Conclusion
To maximize sales, you need knowledge–knowledge of your client base and knowledge of your competition. Social media helps you gain this important information in an easy, accessible way. Regular monitoring of social media sites can enhance your sales intelligence and sales productivity, making you the best sales professional you can be

If you haven’t ever conducted an online brand reputation audit before, don’t worry – the process isn’t nearly as intimidating as it sounds. There are a few tasks you’ll want to complete before beginning, but once you’ve laid the groundwork for this type of activity, you’ll find that the entire process can be completed in just a few minutes. So without further ado, here’s how to conduct a quick brand reputation audit to ensure that the online conversation about your brand is in line with the goals you’ve set… Stage #1 – Prep Work Before you conduct your first brand reputation audit, you’ll want to start by establishing goals for your brand management campaign. To do this, ask yourself the following questions: How do you want your brand to be viewed? What characteristics do you want your audience to associate with your brand? What types of customers do you want to reach? What specific online actions do you want these customers to take? Where would you like to find mentions of your brand online?

Traditional marketing and PR are dead. Instead of the one-way “marketer to prospect” street that existed in the past, consumers are now able to communicate directly with one another on the internet – making online brand reputation management an absolute must.

So without further ado, here’s how to conduct a quick brand reputation audit to ensure that the online conversation about your brand is in line with the goals you’ve set…

Stage #1 – Prep Work

Before you conduct your first brand reputation audit, you’ll want to start by establishing goals for your brand management campaign. To do this, ask yourself the following questions:

How do you want your brand to be viewed?

What characteristics do you want your audience to associate with your brand?

What types of customers do you want to reach?

What specific online actions do you want these customers to take?

Where would you like to find mentions of your brand online?

As an example, if your company sells a physical product to young adults, you might hope to see positive mentions on popular social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter, as well as good reviews on product rating sites like Amazon or Google Shopping. Alternatively, if you market a service to the elderly population, indications that your brand isn’t being perceived well might come in the form of negative press releases or website reviews.

By understanding who it is that you’re trying to reach with your brand management campaign, as well as where you expect any brand mentions to occur, you’ll be able to conduct your online reputation audit much more quickly and efficiently.

Stage #2 – Conducting the Audit

Now that you know what you’re trying to accomplish with your brand management campaign, it’s time to get started! Check out the following minute-by-minute breakdown for the specific steps you’ll want to take:

Minute #1 – Check review sites that are relevant to your business. If your company sells physical products, check Amazon, Google Shopping and any other popular retailers where your wares are sold (specifically, target those whose results appear on the first page of the Google SERPs for your company’s keywords. If you’re an offline business, look for ratings on sites like Google Places or Yelp. If you see any negative reviews, respond to them immediately with either clarifications or offers to make things right.

Minute #2 – Monitor your social media presence using sentiment analysis tools. Combing through a popular social networking search results for your company name or other branded keywords can be time-consuming. Instead, use one of the free or paid sentiment analysis tools listed at the link above in order to quickly get a feel for how your brand is being discussed online.

Minute #3 – Analyze your perceived authority using Klout, PeerIndex and other similar sites. No matter what industry you’re in, being taken seriously as an authority figure or thought leader can be a powerful way to grow your business. Using websites like Klout or PeerIndex – which attempt to quantify public sentiment for industry figures – will show you exactly where you stand in relation to your peers, as well as help uncover potential areas of branding opportunity.

Minute #4 – Google your company name, brand name and the names of all your executives to identify bad press. If you don’t already have Google Alerts set up for these specific keywords (which you really should!), take a minute to Google these phrases to determine whether any negative mentions that are ranking well in the SERPs could be unintentionally influencing the public perception of your brand.

Minute #5 – Check your top-level web metrics. Specifically, take a look at your total website visitors, total social shares, total Youtube views and any other metrics that are important to your business. If your branding efforts have been successful, these numbers should be steadily increasing. Any blips in your data could indicate negative brand mentions that are affecting the way your company is perceived in the marketplace.

Stage #3 – Post-Audit Follow Up

As a result of this quick analysis, you should now have a comprehensive overview of how well your brand is perceived within your industry and across your target consumer base.

If the results of your brand reputation audit are good, that’s great! Set up a recurring calendar appointment to conduct this audit again at least every 1-2 weeks, as bad press can pop up quickly and ruin a company’s reputation overnight if it isn’t addressed immediately.

However, if you uncover any weak areas, take corrective action right away. As mentioned previously, the first element you’ll want to address are negative reviews on popular ratings portal websites. Unfortunately, most of these services prohibit business owner from removing negative feedback, unless fraudulent intent can be proven. If it was a mistake on your end that resulted in a bad review, your odds of getting it pulled from the site are slim.

But while you can’t erase the impact of negative feedback, you can go a long towards improving your brand’s reputation by responding politely and offering immediate resolution to the offended party. Future consumers will see your efforts as remediation as evidence of a company that cares about its customer experience – turning the occasional bad review into a blessing in disguise.

Of course, not even the best apologies can overcome a string of negative reviews. If your brand reputation audit turns up significant, pervasive issues that go beyond a handful of uncharacteristic bad reviews, you’ll need to do some major damage control by reevaluating your company’s policies and priorities to overcome the problems you’ve uncovered.

Beyond bad reviews, it’s possible that your brand management audit could uncover a web review article or press release that positions your company in a bad light – whether due to a legitimate concern or as a result of your competitors’ own branding efforts.

If you see these negative press mentions appearing in the search engine results pages, the type of corrective action you’ll want to take involves carrying out off-page SEO activities that promote your own web pages or sites with positive brand mentions in the SERPs. For specific instructions on how to do this, check out Single Grain’s blog post on a process we like to call “Linkception.”

Realistically, managing your online brand can be a full-time job, given the increasing scope of consumer behavior on the internet. By making ongoing brand management work a part of your company’s promotional strategy, you’ll be able to build your online presence to the point that any future bumps in the road will likely be eclipsed by the overall, total value you’ve built.

In today’s digital world and social web I would be almost considered a dinosaur. My generation grew up on personal computers that weren’t connected to anything but the power outlet and the laptops were the size of small cars. I wasn’t brought up on a diet of iPods, iPhones and the Internet. Today’s i-generation that is attending college and university have known nothing but Facebook, YouTube and Google almost since they were able to read and write. The one year olds today are finding that the toy of choice is often an Apple iPad that makes learning and entertainment intuitive. Digital devices dominate! A Glimpse into the Future So if you want to see what will be influencing tomorrow’s leaders, you need to look at what the college students of today are using to engage with brands, the devices they are using to communicate and the social networks they think are important. Digital Media IX recently completed a study of 2,000 college students to try and discover what digital media, brands and devices are important. Here are the top insights from that research. 1. The Top 6 Social Networks for College Students It was no surprise to see the top three of Facebook, YouTube and Twitter scoring above 60% usage. Facebook at 97% continues as expected to be the defacto social network of choice for almost all students. The study also revealed that LinkedIn is important for senior year college students as they start considering a career.

A Glimpse into the Future

So if you want to see what will be influencing tomorrow’s leaders, you need to look at what the college students of today are using to engage with brands, the devices they are using to communicate and the social networks they think are important.

Digital Media IX recently completed a study of 2,000 college students to try and discover what digital media, brands and devices are important.

Here are the top insights from that research.

1. The Top 6 Social Networks for College Students

It was no surprise to see the top three of Facebook, YouTube and Twitter scoring above 60% usage. Facebook at 97% continues as expected to be the defacto social network of choice for almost all students.

The study also revealed that LinkedIn is important for senior year college students as they start considering a career.

Pinterest is still a girl thing with 55% of college women using it with only 5% of men on the visual social networking platform.

What I found surprising was Google+ at over 20% with women counting for 60% of the participants.

2. How Students Engage with Brands

I wouldn’t be tearing down your website anytime soon if you want to engage with college students. It is still the primary digital platform that they visit to to obtain information. The Facebook page engagement is primarily limited to “likes” for entering a contest or to incentive.

Over 50% engage with a video, mostly through YouTube.

More than one-third of students download apps sponsored by a brand, high lighting the growing importance of apps and mobile in engagement.

Twitter, though the least popular was revealed to be a powerful marketing medium with those that “Tweet” influencing a broad group of friends which amplifies the influence.

3. Smart Phones

As expected the smart phone is the most important thing to carry around. What was surprising was the level of dominance the Apple iPhone has for this generation at 58% .

It also appears that the Blackberry (8%) has been usurped by HTC at 11%, with Samsung also rising in usage.

This survey reveals the power of the Apple brand for the younger generation.

4. Mobile Apps on Students Phones

In the survey college students identified 800 unique mobile apps but nine apps represented nearly half the responses (as listed below in the graphic).

The top three apps were Facebook, Twitter and weather. The rise of Instagram and Pinterest over the last 12 months was also evident.

As expected Sports apps were the favorite of men.

5. The Top 10 Digital Brands for College Students

The pervasive influence of Apple is on display for all to see here with it ranking in three of the top five digital brands.

DigitalMediaIX developed the DMIX ratio (DMIX/R) to provide understanding of brands and how they are influenced by the various forms of digital media.

Also factored in were Facebook “likes,” Twitter Followers, and YouTube Channel Views, weighted to reflect their relative importance.

What About You?

Do any of the results surprise you?

Could you use any of the information revealed to assist you with your marketing.

Look forward to hearing your feedback and comments.
